What is success according to Islam

A successful person according to Islam is a person who has good deeds, who repents from his sins, who offers salah, gives zakat and fasts in the name of Allah. A person who is rich, has a big house, big cars and servants is not successful according to Islam if he is an evil person and does bad deeds and commits sins all the time and doesnt turn to Allah and forgets Allah and doesnt repent for his sins. A successful person according to Islam is one who does good deeds like giving charity, helping others like the needy and friends and helping poor people especially poor relatives. The university degrees and wealth have no importance in the eyes of Allah if we keep on committing sins and do bad deeds. Allah has also said that the poor will enter Heaven first and the rich will enter Heaven last. This really means that Allah gives more importance to poor people and everyone is answerable to one's deeds and actions. In the end what I would like to say is that being rich isnt criterion o...

Allah will give you more than He has taken from you.

Allah has promised us that he will give us more than he has taken from us. If we suffer a loss whether financially, a divorce, death of a loved one or the death of a spouse. Allah has promised that he will replace it with something even better. Everything happens for a reason for example in Surah Kahf Hazrat Khizer killed a young boy. Hazrat Musa who was accompanying Hazrat Khizer asked why did he kill an innocent boy? Hazrat Khizer replied that boy would grow up to become harmful to his parents and his parents were innocent and righteous people.  Everything has been preordained or predestined by Allah and according to Allah's plan for us there is cure, there is good in store for us and it is for our own good and well being. One cannot be perfect whether its looks, intelligence or socio economic status so we shouldnt be jealous of people of whom Allah has given more. In the end what I would like to say is that everything that happens in life is for our own good.

Modesty in Islam

Allah has told us to be modest in Islam. Men and women should guard their private parts from one another if they are strangers to each other and are not married to one another. For women they are particularly expected to be modest and do hijab and guard their private parts particularly those which are visible to the naked eye. Women are particularly are expected to be modest and do hijab because they do not have as much sexual desires and libido as men do and that's why they are expected to dress up decently. All these laws are made to protect women from being raped and subjected to sexual violence. Similarly men are expected to be modest to protect themselves from sins and from committing Adultery. Men are also expected to dress up decently with clothing uptill their navel. In the end what I would like to say modesty protects us from sins and Allah forgives our sins through modesty and repentance.
