about belittling others

belittling others and taunting people is not considered good in Islam Belittling others whether it is  their looks, appearance, height, income, physical strength, money and  financial status or for that matter their unemployment or kind of job.they are doing is disliked in Islam as  Allah has said those who belittle others Allah belittles them and makes their situation exactly the same.

In Surah Hujurat it is written do not mock or deride others who knows the person derided is better than you. Better in the sense that he is more pious and Allah fearing than you. Mocking people also comes under  belittling people.

Also under sheer jealousy or envy people belittle others. They should be in fact happy with what Allah has given them instead of comparing each other.

In the end what I would like to say is that belittling others is amongst the evils of society and must be avoided at all costs.
