We are humans and are prone to sin, we are not perfect and make mistakes and sin daily, but by sincerely asking for Allah’s forgiveness makes us from those who Allah loves. This question of has Allah forgiven me for my sins, is a reflection of the state of your Imaan and is a positive sign.

Know Allah’s Forgiveness
The Prophet ﷺ said, “If your good deeds make you happy and your bad deeds make you sad, then you are a believer.”
Ahmad
We learn from the Quran and Sunnah that the words repentance (astaghfirullah) and regret (tawbah) are two keywords that if followed and done properly can lead to Allah’s forgiveness. In Surah Hud, we learn that the Prophet Hud states by seeking forgiveness and repentance that Allah will be pleased with us
And (saying), “Seek forgiveness of your Lord and repent to Him, (and) He will let you enjoin a good provision…”
Quran 11:3
The marriage of the two is necessary, first ask for Allah’s forgiveness, sincerely, then make tawbah by pledging to Allah that you will not fall into this sin again. When asking for forgiveness you have to feel it meaning, that you are reforming, when you repent there needs to be sincere guilt. One of the 99 names of Allah is Al-Wadud, The Affectionate, He loves those that repent to Him, through repentance you become closer with Allah.
On the authority of Anas, who said, “I heard the Prophet ﷺ say, ‘Allah the Almighty said, ‘O son of Adam, so long as you call upon Me and ask for Me, I shall forgive you for what you have done, and I shall not mind. O son of Adam, were your sins to reach the clouds of the sky and were you then to ask forgiveness of Me, I would forgive you. O son of Adam, were you to come to Me with sins nearly as great as the Earth and were you then to face Me, ascribing no partner to Me, I would bring you forgiveness nearly as great as it’”
al-Tirmidhi
Allah accepts our repentance even though He knows we may fall into that same sin again, but by seeking forgiveness sincerely, Allah will constantly forgive.
