 Prophet Ismail (A.S.) (also referred as Prophet Ismael) is the figure known in Judaism, Christianity and Islam as Abraham's (A.S.) son, born to Hagar (Hajar or Hajarah). Ismail (A.S.) is regarded as a Prophet and an ancestor to the last Prophet Mohammed (S.A.W.).  Prophet Yaqub (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) descended from a line of devout Prophets of Allah (سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ) and continued to carry the message of Oneness through his progeny. The name Yahya was given to the newborn by Allah (سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ) — a name that was not used by any other before.  THE STORY OF PROPHET YUNUS (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) Prophet Yunus Calligraphy Yunus Ibn Matta was a Messenger of Allah (سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ) sent to Nineveh, a city in northern Iraq with a population of over a hundred thousand. Prophet Yunus (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) was seemingly an ordinary man who was born and raised amongst the fellow citizens of Nineveh. The booming city of Nineveh had long forgotten the message of Allah (سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ) and became a city filled with idol worshiping and sin. Allah (سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ) decided to send Prophet Yunus (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ), a man born amongst them, as a Messenger to guide them to His path — the path of light. Prophet Yunus immediately set out to fulfill his Lord’s wish and invited his people to turn to Allah (سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ) and shun idol worship.  Prophet Ayyub (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) was a descendant of Prophet Ibrahim (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ). Ayyub’s mother was believed by some historians to be the daughter of Prophet Lut (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ). His wife, a direct descendant of Prophet Yusuf (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ), was named Rahma. Together, they lived in Rome and were blessed with fourteen children.  Prophet Lut (Lot), a nephew of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham), was sent to the people of Sodom and Gomorrah, in the vicinity of the Dead Sea. His people were homosexuals, generating all sorts of other unspeakable sins as well. As a result, they were punished and wiped off the face of the earth. The extensive accounts of Lut and his people are presented in these Qur’anic surahs (chapters): al-A’raf (80-84), Hud (74-83), al-Hijr (58-77), al-Anbiya’ (74-75), al-Shu’ara’ (160-175), al-Naml (54-58), al-‘Ankabut (28-35), al-Saffat (133-138), al-Qamar (33-40), and al-Tahrim (10).
